We invite you to honor the legacy of Ken Mahaffey, a founding director of the Bartram Trail Society of Florida, whose passion for Florida’s natural heritage shaped the organization from its inception in 1978.

A devoted hiker, paddler, and amateur historian, Ken spent decades marking trail sites, leading river tours, and sharing his love of the St. Johns River.

This February 2026, we’re raising funds in Ken’s name to continue the work he championed throughout his life. Your donation will help us in our mission to continue building the trail in Florida, ensuring that Ken’s vision of preserved trails along Bartram’s historic route lives on.
