Carole Adams

Carole Adams, Board Member

Carole Adams grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and has lived in St. Johns County since 1999. Carole and her husband, Mike Adams (BTSF Ex Officio Director), are fortunate to own a 94-acre property on the St. Johns River, which they call the Saturiwa Conservation Area. It’s here where Carole enjoys paddling and finds most subject matter for her photography – the uplands and wetlands are chock-full of beautiful flora and fauna, many of which are described and illustrated in Bartram’s book Travels.

In 2025, Carole celebrated 40 years of service at Bank of America with roles ranging from consumer banking to training and leadership development, vendor management, and IT contractor staffing. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Finance in 1985 and received an MBA from the University of North Florida in 1993.

Carole loves travel, being outdoors, and enjoys road and trail running, cycling, backyard beekeeping, spending time on her family’s dock on the St. Johns River, canoeing, and watching sunsets. Although the state of Florida continues to grow and develop at a record pace, the Adams plan to keep the Saturiwa Conservation Area undeveloped, with the goal of adding it to a regional or state-owned conservation area within their lifetimes.
